Dear Susan,
I wanted to follow-up on our conversation regarding the Camp Bow Wow Dog Park.
Your idea to form a taskforce is excellent, and I would like to take the initiative to form
and be the task force leader. Forming a Camp Bow Wow Park & Bark taskforce brings a
number of advantages. They include the following; it will develop a situation for
addressing the task of establishing a dog park by developing a plan of action for effective
task completion, contribute to better morale and productivity since the team will basically
govern itself as team members take up tasks, enable easier and quicker decision making
that is approved by all members of the taskforce hence reducing resistance, and generate
solutions to tough problems encountered along the way in a more effective manner since
it will be focused on one task at a time.
There are a few disadvantages that you should be aware, so we will keep those in mind.
The disadvantages are; focusing on one task at a time might lead to slow decision making
since it will require each member's input, its ability to govern itself signals an absence of
management which may stir up competition among members for leadership roles that can
divert attention from the main task and the high risk of dissatisfaction among members
since individual achievements might go unrecognized and unrewarded.
Keeping the team advantages and disadvantages in mind, the following will map out how
I will plan, organize, lead, and control the Dog Park Task force formation, and how I will
communicate with the team for a successful outcome;

It will heavily rely on the work of steering the team towards the fulfillment of the
desired outcomes. Identifying the right 5 task force members and process design will
involve critical thinking, with a strategic approach to task force formation being the
major path to follow. My main focus will be on the task, challenge, or problem at
hand, which is to establish a dog park. The task force will be created for this specific
purpose, and therefore the members of the task force will need to have the required
expertise and knowledge in fulfilling this purpose. Van, Linus, Schroder, Patty and
Franklin will be the appropriate taskforce members because they have prior expertise
or experience with dog-related services and customer relations. Communication
among team members will be done face-to-face during working hours, and through
emails and phone calls or social media channels whenever the members are far apart
from each other. Communication will be essential since it will give me the chance to
clearly define the task to the members, enabling them to engage in deeper analysis of
the root problems or tasks.
2. Organize The organization will first entail clear articulation of the expected
deliverables, developing options rather than recommendations, and providing
