STATISTICAL REPORT 2
Statistical methods
This paper attempts to use multiple regression analysis to create model for the amount of
gifts based on past giving and demographic features of the donors. The data comprises of 26
predictors and 1 response variable. The response variable is (GIFTAMNT) is the amount of
money donated by the donor. The regression method is most appropriate method to use since the
aim of the study is to identify relationships and trends in the data and use those trends to make a
prediction about the response variable. There are one dependent variable and multiple predictor
variables and as such, multiple regression models will be used.
Data-driven decision
The process of finding the appropriate regression model for the data can be achieved as follows;

STATISTICAL REPORT The histogram above indicates that GIFTAMNT is skewed to the right. This can also be shown by a positive coefficient of skewness of 4.77. Next, evaluating the relationship between the response variable and each predictor using the scatter plots. 3 STATISTICAL REPORT The scatter plots above indicate that there is a very weak linear relationshi ...
