I gained interest in computer program when I quite young. Although I knew little about

what I was doing, I was able to solve problems by reading books and following online tutorials. I

knew the field of computers was difficult, but my desire to program kept me interested in

computers. I have also mastered several programming languages like Python and JavaScript by

learning from books and online tutorials. I have even begun learning C++ on my own, and i

would love to learn other languages and tools. Today I am convinced that computer science is my

calling, and I want to have the best skills and tools in this field. I know the future is all about

computers because they have become an essential part of all jobs and daily life.

My former school has provided an ideal environment for career and personal growth. The

environment has been more than satisfying, and the resources are great too. I have learned and

mastered essential skills in computer science, like design, theory, and application. Now I believe

it is time to take my learning to the next level by transferring to a university to sharpen my

education in computer science. The program at my current school is limited in scope and does

not provide more competitive and marketable offerings that will make me understand practice

and theory. Transferring will give me the skills I need to analyze, think, design, and develop

competitive programs. University is diverse with students from across the world, and there is an

excellent selection of learning resources and professors in Computer Science.

As my passion for computer keeps increasing, I have come to realize that I need an ideal

environment and extend my understanding of computer studies. I am majoring in computer

science, and I want a school that offers a wide range of offerings in the field. UIC (University of

Illinois at Chicago) provides three computer science concentrations: computer systems, human-

centered computing, and software engineering. I will concentrate on software engineering to
