METHODS OF TEACHING: PRIMARILY LECTURES AND ASSIGNMENTS
The Course would revolve around business communication and examples. Assignments would involve analysis of
business communication processes with case study to optimize the business organization working process. Most of the
session would start with the lecture, which in turn would lead to problem solving.
COURSE OBJECTIVE: The course is designed to enable students appreciate the strategic significance of
operations management in highly competitive global economy and to introduce various principles,
concepts, tools and techniques developed in the area of operations management over the years. It
is envisaged that students would gain a conceptual understanding of the subject and relate them to
practical applications in real life situation.
LEARNING OUTCOME:
Develop an understanding of various intricacies of Operations Management
Develop capability to identify core issues of Operationsl Management and application
Develop an understanding of organization structure and process related issues involved in Operations
Management.
