The Classification of Law is very necessary for the proper understanding of law, also it is very helpful for Advocates/Lawyers to know the differences between different laws/rule and their interferences and impacts on each other. Classification of law is very necessary because it allows lawyers to identify the different rules/laws by their characteristics. Actually, law can be broadly classified as: (1) International Law, and (2) National Law. Former one governs the relationship between states and is based on foreign elements. While, the other based on domestic elements, and it governs all the disputes, relationships and matters inside the state. Subject of International Law is States whereas, the subject of National Law is Person (However the Natural Person or Legal Person) of any state, and all the other things which are under the sovereignty of state.  International Law further divides in (1) Public International law and (2) Private International Law.  Similarly, National or Domestic Law further divided as: (1) Public Law and (2) Private Law.
