The state of your physical and mental health can impact your life in ways you may not realize. If a person is not
physically fit or has poor nutrition habits, he or she may feel tired and sluggish more often. In the same way, if a
person is regularly subjected to stressful situations, he or she could become mentally fatigued, or even show
symptoms of depression. In 150-200 words discuss the following questions:
• Do you currently have an exercise and nutrition regimen?
o If so, what is your regimen and are you happy with it?
o If not, what could you do to start one?
• Based on what you learned in Chapter Three, what can you do to be healthier in terms of exercise and
nutrition?
• Do you experience high levels of stress?
• What are some things that you can do to cope with and reduce stress in your life?
Use Adult Development and Lifetime Assessment as your primary source for this discussion, and include at least one
in-text citation and a reference in APA formatting at the end of the post. Please be sure to highlight the citation in
yellow. Remember, the citation is included in your content and the reference is added at the bottom of your post.
Using the toolbar on the textbox window, highlight the citation in yellow. Review the PSY202: Writing Resource for an
example.
Your initial response should be 150-200 words in length and is due by Thursday, Day 3. Respond to at least two of
your classmates’ posts by Monday, Day 7. (You must create one initial post and at least two responses, for a
minimum of three posts for this discussion.)
I currently do have an exercise regiment. Since being in the military and being Security Forces I have to maintain a
level of fitness to be able to complete my job whether performing Law Enforcement duties at homestation or patrolling
or conducting convoys while deployed. I lift weights 5 times a week and run a couple miles 3 times a week. I am
happy with it because it makes me feel good and that is the time when I can get away from work and clear my head
and just focus on one task.
I try to eat healthy. I just don't understand why it is more expensive to eat healthy food vs. fast food etc. If there is
such a big push for people to be healthier and in shape there are allot of things out there to combat that healthy
lifestyle.
Depending on what is going on in my life I sometimes experience increased levels of stress. I don't think they are high
but to some people my high level might be their low level and vise versa.
To deal with stress I do several things. My favorite is to go to the gym. If I don't do that I will either go fishing or draw
pictures. I am not a very high stung person so not allot of things stress me out. if I found myself in a situation where I
couldn't handle my stress i would seek professional help ether from a psychiatrist or a Chaplin.
