Wealth Inequality
One of the most significant roles class plays in society is distinguishing opportunities
between people. For instance, the educational system is very expensive; thus, people from low-
income households do not get the chance to enjoy adequate resources needed for high-quality
education. The rich people get the opportunity to work in high-paying jobs since they enroll in
better educational institutions. However, poor people work in low-paying jobs. Other elements
affected by class include; health care, housing, and political power. In the United States, class is
still significant, especially in the job market. However, it has created inequality where the upper
class is much respected and given priority in society. Class is significant since individuals who
are well educated receive more job opportunities. The United States is a capitalist system, and
the majority of the people who languish in poverty and homelessness are a product of uneven
distribution of wealth.
According to the video, wealth inequality in the United States is due to unfair distribution
of resources as well as the effort indicated by an individual in the process of acquiring resources.
In the video, it is clearly stated that wealthy individuals work hand to achieve a single resource.
In addition, there exists a poor structure of wealth acquiring. For instance, the amount received
by the CEO does not rhyme with his effort (You Tube, n.d.). One percent of the entire American
population owns 40 percent of the total resources in the country, and they tend to work hard to
own these resources.
Raising wages and other benefits for lower- and middle-class individuals will solve the
issue of wealth inequality. The working-class lives improve by raising the minimum wages. In
addition, it is important to have an effective system that pays employees depending on the effort
and the work they accomplish in an organization. For instance, the CEO and an average worker
