Under what circumstances is the use of power in a relationship unethical?

Explain your answer.

It depends on what type of relationship. If we are talking about a business

work relationship with a manager is in authority and they abuse their authority

with employees beneath him/her the relationship can be considered unethical.

I have a very real example I once worked for a small company that used their

religion as a sales tactic and they really didn't practice the ethics behind their

religion. In a meeting the owner of the company became irate at one of her

employees and made the statement "If you don't like how I run my company

there is the door I can always find another stupid person to work for penny's

like you." She used her power over that person very unethically and I thought

it was very wrong she then announced in the meeting that it applied to all of

the people that worked there and she could care less what we thought of her.
