NETWORK ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS 2
Network Enterprise Solution
The remote users access the company’s network from different locations; for example, at
home, leisure sites, et. However, some of them may not understand how to ensure the security of
their devices, leading to network infections. Therefore, it is important to consider the safety of
the remote users’ devices before establishing a prevention measure for the company’s network
infection Hennessey et al. (2016).
To prevent the company’s network from infection, I would implement an information
security policy that requires all the remote users to ensure the safety of their devices before
accessing the network. In this regard, I would set up an IPS and IDS for detecting and rejecting
the infected devices to access the network. This strategy will encourage remote users to monitor
the security of their devices by setting up antivirus Hennessey et al. (2016). In this case, I would
install a firewall that can work effectively according to the size of the company. The firewall will
help the company mitigate the risks of remote access, such as infecting the network. Therefore, I
would ensure the company’s firewall has effective anti-malware and antivirus.
According to Hennessey et al. (2016), a VPN is an important tool for securing access to
an organization’s network. In this regard, I would set up an effective VPN for the company’s
network for access control. Therefore, only a secure remote could access the network. Hennessey
et al. (2016) argue that the creation of insecure passwords may lead to the ineffectiveness of a
VPN. To avoid this risk, I will develop strong passwords to regulate remote users. In this regard,
only the devices with antivirus would be allowed to access the network. Generally, I would
emphasize the installation of up-to-date antiviruses to prevent network infection due to remote
access.
