PURPOSE OF STUDY 2
Purpose of the Study
The purpose of this quantitative study is to evaluate the standard theories of motivation
and how they are applicable in the small corporate company under investigation. Shoraj and
Llaci (2015) state that employees are the most critical resource in organizations. Today's work
environment makes it essential to identify factors that motivate employees since this directly
correlates to effectiveness and organizational performance. The study will, therefore, help
understand the reasons for lacking motivation and then will attempt to recommend viable
strategies for mitigating the issue. However, as Burton (2012) writes, it is also essential to
understand which strategy of motivation is best effective since the theories of motivation provide
different approaches, with varying results, and should apply to varied environments. The
research findings could be influential in shaping the firm's human resource management
concerning motivation, as well as the entire HR industry. Professionals will be in a position to
understand the causes, impacts, and mitigation techniques aimed at raising motivation, which, at
best, increases employee and organizational performance simultaneously.
Secondly, the study aims at building on the existing knowledge around the management
and motivation of employees. Understanding the causes of low motivation at the firm, as well as
its impacts and possible solution, will offer real-time knowledge and help advance understanding
of human resource management and the practical application of motivation theories. Future
employee motivation researchers may find this research valuable, as it will offer a base onto
which they can base their arguments.
