1-What was one of the letters to Dear Sugar and/or responses from Dear Sugar that

resonated with you? Why do you think it resonated with you?

One of the letters to Dear Sugar that resonates with me is that of “The Woman Hanging

on the End of the Line, pp. 110-114.” This woman helped a certain woman that she and her

husband had hired was writing love letters to her husband. This made her feel very angry and

unhappy. I once had a friend, who kept going behind my back sending text messages to my

boyfriend. I hate such friends who can’t be loyal and had to end that friendship.

2- What was one of the letters to Dear Sugar and/or responses from Dear Sugar that

disturbed or upset you? Why do you think it disturbed or upset you?

One of the letters to Dear Sugar that disturbed me is that of “No Mystery about Sperm,

pp. 115-123.” I was surprised by this single woman who had a true love who had a child

previously with another woman. What upset me is that the man told the single woman that he

would get back with his ex-wife so that he could finish taking care of his child. Why couldn’t he

just raise his child with this single woman? Doesn’t make sense.

3-What was one of the letters to Dear Sugar and/or responses to Dear Sugar that you found

to be particularly inspirational? Why do you think you found that one to be inspirational?

One of the letters to Dear Sugar and its response that I found inspirational is that of “How

You Get Unstuck, pp. 19-30.” There is this woman who was pregnant but when she was six and

a half months she had a miscarriage. She says that ever since the miscarriage she has never

moved on and she asks how she could move on. In the response, she is encouraged that she is not

alone and how she should come out from being stuck.
