Reflection #5

After all that I have learned throughout this course I have been more aware about culture,

globalization, economics, politics, etc. When it comes to an specific topic to investigate and

present about as it is for the Group Project it is extremely hard to decide on a single topic I would

like to research and present.

As I reviewed the topics I could choose from I have come to the conclusion that I would love to

learn more about the starts of “sex work”, how globalization took place in this topic globally. I

believe there is so much more than a job women tend to take after having no more options, I

believe this has started for different reasons other than looking for a job and believe there has

been a certain type of introduction to the industry as men were initially interested in this; as well,

I cannot help but think “sex work” has a strong correlation with many problems such as: human

trafficking, feminization of poverty, inequality, and much more.

It would be amazing to investigate more in depth about “sex work” and be able to illustrate more

people about the complexity of this topic, it would be something very interesting to do as well as

educative.
