Definition of Religion:
There are two approaches to define Religion
Western approach:
Religion is a relationship between God & Human being
Islamic approach:
Religion is a complete code of life
Complete code of life contains five systems:
1. Ideological System (Beliefs, Thoughts, Imaniat, Laws )
a. To develop a relation with God
b. To develop a system of human respect
2. Political System (Planning/Management/Implementation of Ideology)
a. To implement your basic ideology (Peace of Mind & Fearless
environment)
b. To maintain the idea of oneness of human being in order to save
human rights (Easy access to fundamental human rights)
3. Economic System (Division of resources to achieve the basic goals of
Ideology )
a. Production of wealth (Land, Trade, Industry)
b. Distribution of Wealth (Human needs, Human efforts, Capital)
c. Consumption of wealth (Basic needs & complements without
extravagance)
d. Exchange of wealth (Interest & Hoarding free, )
4. Social System (To form/mold Ideology in a concrete manner on the basis
of available resources/best customs)
a. Climate of the state (Shelter, clothing etc)
b. Available resources of the state (Food items, Health care etc)
c. Family laws (Marriage, Rights & Duties, Divorce)
5. Moral System (To develop consciousness about self-accountability
through avoiding bad one and establishing good one)

Objectives of Religion (Deen):
1. Preservation of & Protection of Religion (Purification of Human Soul: Quran &
Sunnah)
2. Preservation of & Protection of Life (Prohibition of Unlawful Murder or any
physical/mental torcher)
3. Preservation of & Protection of Progeny/Upcoming Generation (Prohibition of
adultery along with all prohibited physical/mental means)
4. Preservation of & Protection of Intellect (Prohibition of all kinds of drugs that
make human out of order)
5. Preservation of & Protection of wealth/all sorts of your belongings (Prohibition of
theft/ robbery along with all types of gambling/game of chance/ extravagance)
Major Islamic Beliefs: Meaning & demands
Meaning of Aqeedah:
Literally: to strengthen a rope to an other rope
Technically: to believe in certain obligations given by the Ultimate Reality
Importance of Aqeedah:
a. Human being is required to follow some rules & regulations
b. to spend life according
to the wish of the Creator of this world
Aqeedah Tawheed: (oneness of God)
Demands:
a. prevention of Shirk & Zulm
b. freedom of thought & action
c. establishment of justice & equality
d. broadness
e. oneness of human being
f. respect to human being & tolerance
Aqeedah Risalat: (Prophethood)
Demands:
a. purpose of prophet hood (establishment of justice)
b. rejection of injustice system
c. historical chain
d. social positive development
e. centralization of thoughts & social activities
Aqeedah Akhrat (Hereafter)
Demands:
a. self-accountability
b. sense of responsibility
c. development of human being
d. revolution & social change
e. future planning

Topic: Worship System in Islam
Meaning of Ibadat ( ):
Literally: Ibadat is the plural of the Arabic word Ibadaat ( ), which is derived
from “Abd” ( ) meaning a servant and slave.
Technically: To establish Ibadat ( ) as per the instruction of Allah and the prophet
Mohammad (PBUH)
Thus the meaning of Ibadaat ( ) is servitude and slavery. Almighty Allah says
in the Holy Quran: “I created the jin and human kind only that they might worship
Me” (51:56)
Purpose of Ibadat:
To keep in touch with Allah through certain worships to receive right guidance and to
deliver it to other human fellows as an obligation.
Fundamental Obligatory Ibadat:
Obligatory Ibadat are included in the five Pillar of Islam as Prayer ( ), Fasting (
), Pilgrimage ( ) and Alms-giving ( ).
It has been reported in Hadith-e-Jebrael that “the prophet (p.b.u.h.) said that Islam is
to witness that there in no god except Allah and that Mohammad is His Messenger
and that you should establish prayer, pay Zakat, keep fast and perform Hajj of the
Holy Kaaba if you can afford”.(Bukhari, Muslim)

c. Kindness & well wishes for human fellows ( )
d. Discipline & regularity and equality
e. God consciousness & establishment of justice

3. Alms-giving: Meaning & Demands ( )
Meaning: to purify one’s possession of wealth who complete the Nisab with full
Islamic year by distributing a prescribed amount among the poor as a fundamental
Ibadat.
Demands:
a. To create passion for spending wealth in the way of Allah
b. To prevent materialistic & capitalistic mentality
c. Financial equality
d. To establish an atmosphere to help each other
e. To establish a plan for economic justice
f. To create passion for prevention of poverty
4. Pilgrimage: Meaning & Demands ( )
Meaning: It is intended to visit to Arafat in Ihram garments for whom who can
afford.
Demands:
a. Realization of the concept of oneness of human being
b. Realization of universal equality
c. International platform
d. International planning for supremacy of the true nature/religion)
