Confucian moral theory and practice
Doing the right thing all the time is usually not a straightforward objective to achieve.
Therefore, Confucianism in the Confucian moral theory suggests that the morality of an
individual entirely depends on the persons' comprehensive moral thought. Ren (humaneness), as
one of the central moral principles, seeks to justify self-establishment by ascertaining others. The
theory disposes of the Confucian core belief of morality being a constant norm as it is not
generally something that an individual decides to do testing for different scenarios in life
circumstances. Each tradition exposed from genesis traversing onwards depicts instances on how
to carry out proper conduct. Therefore, the Confucian moral theory and practice examine
morality in terms of expression avenues, aspects, wants, and needs (Magagna Lecture Date).
The theory presents that humans are naturally born right, and the whole human race is
perfect because of its social aspects. Therefore, the method outlines that it usually is challenging
to specify the correct elements from the right features. Mencius, in the development of moral
theory and practice concept to right and good, determines much about ethical theory. Mencius, in
his state of the dilemma on the correct moral theory costs, specifies that an effective achievement
of moral philosophy, a middle ground in price, should be the best. The middle ground cost is the

ability to cause a lot of disaster in the world. Mencius portrays high morality cost with contempt
from citizens when they are not capable of living up to the required standard.
Consequently, a moral theory with too little cost is taken as unimportant. This is because
the people believe that an ethical approach with less cost will not lead them to what the
Confucians consider as right life. Even though moral theory with less cost will help an individual
in their general life, Confucians would, however, would disagree on moral commitment with a
low trivial cost (Daily Kos 2). Moreover, ethical theory and practice that averages things are the
best and core Confucian ideas. The core of Confucian specifies that moral life has no religious
ground, and therefore, morality must originate from human experience. To achieve the middle
ground of ethical theory, self-cultivation and social cooperation involvement are essential. The
basis of all morals is public morality, which is drawn from various aspects of interest groups
such as detriments and benefits.
The moral status of the East Asian people is because of their tendency in societal
cooperation since every person has the ability and self-confidence to be great. Therefore, to
achieve excellence, the individual must self-cultivate. A good morality also enhances the
charitable corporation in the elderly individual of interest, such as leaders and parents. Therefore,
the Confucian, in general, poses an argument on morality being something, which a person
follows because of its goodness and not because of the morality aspects it possesses (Magagna
Lecture Date)
To dissect the Confucian moral theory and practice thoroughly, comparison with
contemporary western approaches is essential (Yao 20). Modern western theory morality depicts
ethics as something that an individual has the right to decide whether to follow it or not, and
