Summary of the film and the science factor in the film
Jurassic Park is a film that was produced in 1990 and has an interesting setting based on
the characters and the science fiction which is incorporated (McLoughlin, 2015). The setting of
the film is in a fictional island of Isla Nublar which is located in the United States of America.
Precisely, the fictional island is located on the pacific coast of Central America which is located
near Costa Rica. The film is about a billionaire philanthropist who is known as John Hammond
living on the island and doing major businesses to earn a living and carry out major progress
regarding research and science in genetics. John Hammond has collected a team of genetic
scientists to create a park of dinosaurs. Due to their ambition and nature of exploration, they created
a park whereby they de-extinct dinosaurs and created a park for them whereby the proudly owned
them.
The peak of the film comes when there is industrial sabotage whereby the park was
destroyed and the boundaries for the dinosaurs are destroyed. The power at the park was shut down
and the dinosaurs released (Rothberg 2017). The catastrophic event led to challenges whereby the
clones of de-extinct dinosaurs aggressively attacked the humans and it as difficult to escape.
During the industrial sabotage time, the grandchildren and other visitors who were staying with
Hammond had a difficult time surviving on the island. The film comes to an end when the
grandchildren and the visitors of Hammond are trying to escape from the hazardous is a place to
avoid the aggressiveness of the dinosaurs.
The scientific element which is seen in the film is genetic engineering to de-extinct
dinosaurs. Due to the challenges of survival in the various settings and conditions, dinosaurs are
animals that had been extinct and bringing them back to the real setting requires advanced
