Corporate responsibility is a management concern that puts in in consideration the social
and environmental concerns in their company operations and also interact with the employees,
stakeholders and the community. The main purpose of the corporate social responsibility to be
active on the philanthropic impacts and also surrender benefits to the community as well as
participate in impacting positive social value (Market, (2018). This helps the organization to build
a positive image to the community and as a result it might to an increase in customer base that will
boost on their revenue. Companies view corporate responsibility in the following distinctive ways;
philanthropy, diversity and labor practices, volunteerism, and finally environmental conservation.
Philanthropic corporate responsibility helps the company to improve on the general image
of the company by creating a good reputation through, donating funds, offering goods and services,
offering scholarships to the students in the society, supporting the health initiatives, donating food
to the needy families and also backing the activities that will have a positive impact in the society
(Liang, & Renneboog, (2017).This helps a company to attract more customers and also uphold
the company high in the competitive edge since it will attract more customers in the name of
participating in the charitable work to the society.
Diverse and labor practices are very important factors in the corporate social responsibility
as the employers are highly focused on embracing the use of technology to build a competitive
environment with their competitor and also aim at retaining the best skilled and performance
oriented employees. The human resource managers in the companies focuses on attracting highly
skilled personnel and retain them that already productive in the company so as to build a good
environment to thrive in the competitive edge with other companies. CSR has brought an important
concept of aligning the interest of a company to those of the employees not only focusing on the

advantage of the company only, this helps to create a good relation between the employees and
the leaders because the concept of inclusion in considered. Diversity in a company creates a good
atmosphere on improving creativity and productivity, reduced fear, and also builds the reputation
of your products.
Volunteerism is a huge concept that help to perfect on the corporate culture in a great way.
Volunteering programs reflects what the organization stands for, it also attracts potential
employees because of displaying a good image of helping the society, it encourages teamwork
among the employees and also there is an enhancement of stronger relationship between the
customers and the company (Liang, & Renneboog, (2017). Creating good image through the
volunteering programs helps to increase the productivity of a company since it increases the morale
of the employees.
Environmental conservation, a company should take responsibility of their action to the
environment in the name of protecting the environmental resources. A company can facilitate this
by setting up recycle bin in the common areas so as to reduce pollution of the environment with
the waste appearing everywhere in the surrounding environment, reduce paper work will also help
in minimize waste, use of the long lasting light build, and reforestation.
In conclusion, when corporate social responsibility it well implemented in a company it
helps in creating a uniqueness in competitive business environment as it surrenders benefits to the
community as well as participate in impacting positive social value. This helps the organization to
build a positive image to the community and as a result it might to an increase in customer base
that will boost on their revenue.
