The fight in Syria has been detrimental and negatively affecting civilians. Children, older
people, and women are the most affected people. The war began when Turkish forces invaded
Syria to fight against the Syrian president led group. The region has never been peaceful and has
experienced a lot of attacks. The war between the US military and ISIS has been going on for
several years. This paper aims at discussing the effects of withdrawal or continued US military
operations in the fight against ISIS in Syria
ISIS
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) grew stronger because of the political upheaval
in Syria and Iraq. In Afghanistan, Zarqawi established a group known as Jund-al-Sham, which
became “Jama’at al-Tawhid Wal Jihad.” This group aimed to bomb tourist centers and other
dangerous activities. The group was later renamed ISIS in the year 2006.
US MILITARY
US military has been one of the most aggressive in maintaining peace across the world,
especially in the middle- east and parts of Asia. They have the most sophisticated weapons that
can help them manage their enemies in all forms of attack. The presence of the US military in the
middle-east has had an impact globally and in the region.
Conflict in Syria
Syria is one of the countries in the middle-east experiencing instability. The war began
several years ago and had been worsening each day. Involvement of the Turkish troops, The
Syrian forces, The US military, and ISIS has created a lot of opposition, which has contributed to
the long-continued wars. The conflict in Syria has established security weaknesses which have
made terrorist groups to arm themselves and cause harm among the people,( Kudors & Pabriks
2016). Many people have suffered the impact of the wars, including children, women, and the
