Abstract
The Greek philosopher Heraclitus of Ephesus is often credited for the proverb, “Change is the
only constant in life.” No one understands this better than those who are charged with guiding a
workforce through the never-ending process of organizational change. It is important to know the
difference between employees’ resistance to change and simple change fatigue and to help them
align their personal ambitions with the vision of the organization for optimal effectiveness.
