Has your organization’s strategic plan been communicated to you? If so, how and by whom?
Yes, my organization’s strategic plan has been communicated to me by my manager during staff
meetings as well as by the vice-president of the division during company strategy meetings.
If not, how would such communication improve your organizational effectiveness? Is it
important for employees to know the strategic plan of a company? Why or why not?
I think it is very important for employees to know the strategic plan of the company because it helps
employees know the direction the company plans to take and the role those employees play in the
plan. Employees are made aware of what is expected of them and they can start to take ownership
of the tasks they can accomplish to work toward those goals.
My response:
I also agree that conveying the strategic plan to the employees is very important. It is
very important for employees to know the strategic plan of the company because if the
employees did not know, then they will not understand the direction the company is
taking. Employees should know the mission, vision, objectives, and goals of the company
because they are a vital part of the success of the business. This is a great way for the
employee to feel a part of a team and working towards goals will allow them to become
more active.
