What do you perceive as the relationship between organizational structure and
organizational strategy?
Organization structure and organizational strategy are in a dependent relationship; the
organizational strategy is dependent on the organizational structure to be executed properly and
function properly as the organizational structure is dependent on the organization strategy for
change. The organizational structure must be ready for the new organizational strategy
implementation. When a new strategy is implemented, the organization must change to support
the needs of the new strategy (such as new departments, new leadership, monitoring systems,
etc.). The organizational structure will thus go through organizational change to meet the
requirements of the organizational strategy.
