Are there aliens in Outer space?
While many people ponder over the existence of extra terrestrial life outside
our planet, we are not certain that this lief actually does exist. The thought may seem
terrifying but there are only two possibilities. We are either alone in the vast Universe
or we are not alone and other life does for sure exist.
Several theories have been put across by some brilliant scientists, most who do
agree that we are likely not alone. Hence, by examining some of the arguments that
have been passed across, we can draw conclusions as to whether aliens exist in outer
space. However, extraterrestrial life has never been discovered. This though doesn’t
mean that it doesn’t exist.
For there to be aliens, a question arises. What are the building blocks that
encompass life so that encompass life? According to the American biochemist
Lawrence Joseph Henderson, he first stressed on the many benefits that carbon and
water have for supporting life in terms of comparative chemistry. He was fascinated
by the fact that the many atoms that are needed to support life are the same exact
ones that are around. Therefore, it is quite remarkable that the atoms that are most
useful for life compounds have quite high cosmic abundances.
With several missions by NASA in search of life beyond our planet, several
interesting findings have been made. About 45 years ago, one so mission was
the Viking Project which was the first mission in the U.S. history to land a spacecraft
on Mars’ surface. The Viking 1 and 2, each consisted of both an orbiter and a lander.
The results of the mission were that there was some unexpected chemical activity in
the Martian soil, but provided no clear evidence for the presence of living
microorganisms near the landing sites. However, these chemical activities have often

been used as the life support for Earth. The chemical compositions of Carbon,
Hydrogen an water were found.
With more missions that happened late on in time, there was a clear indication
that life could for sure exist. Such was the Kepler mission which was sent out in
search of planets that were Earth- sized planets around our distant stars. Kepler did
leave a a legacy of more than 2,600 exoplanet discoveries, many of which could be
potential areas of life.
With such evidences cropping up and suggesting that life does for sure exist, it
is only fit to imagine that Aliens are in outer space. Just because they haven’t been
seen or discovered yet, doesn’t mean that they do not for sure exist.
