RETENTION OF TALENTED EMPLOYEES 2
CHAPTER TWO: LITERATURE REVIEW
2.1. Introduction
Every organization has a dream to succeed through the kind of manpower they have. An
investment in the manpower especially the skilled human resource is good for the success of any
organization (Ajit 2016). With the involvement of quality approaches and recommended
strategies in the success of the companies, the required techniques must be implemented to
ensure that the right human resource is harnessed. Talented employees are good for the success
of any organization and they should always be retained (Kariuki & Mutugi, 2019). Success of an
organization depends on the uniqueness and the industriousness of the human resource in
delivering nothing but the best. Retention of talented employees is a challenge which most of the
organizations have especially due to the stiff competition the firms always have for such
competent professionals. Success factors or retention of talented employees depend on the type
of leadership and management in control since the employees are most likely to face the
challenges due to the adversities (Ganesh 2016). Complicated issues require that immediate and
better techniques are employed in the control of the retention and ensure that fundamental
approaches are implemented as required. Comprehensively, the chapter is going to focus on the
success factors of retention of talented employees, how it is done and gauging which the specific
skills regarded as talents which are used for discrimination of employees (Puttaswamy et al.,
2016). Better approaches are therefore necessary for the control of challenges and promotion of a
quality approach which is required in the mitigation of challenges and identification of the right
measures for retention of the talented employees.
