Introduction
For decades, Samsung and Apple have been the leading companies in the manufacture of
consumer electronics and smartphones. The two company manufacture almost the same
products, but each company has a difference in production and product presentation. Combining
the two technology giants, they account to more than half of the total phones sold globally. Since
the company is in a world of ever-changing technology, the market needed to change from the
tradition phone to more superior devices with increased capabilities. The demand for a phone
that could serve the same purpose with a computer set the two companies in continuous research
and innovation. Before, the mobile market was dominated by companies such as Nokia and the
Motorola. Apple came in and took over after launching an iPhone smartphone in the year 2007.
Because of the phone large touchscreen, its popularity in the market remained high.
Although Apple dominated the smartphone market for quite some time, Apple faced steep
competition from Samsung after the company launched its Samsung Galaxy line in the year
2013. The Samsung Galaxy has overtaken the iPhone after massive advertisement of a
smartphone with unique features. Samsung Galaxy remained popular in the market in the world.
The fierce competition between Samsung and Apple have since the continued resulting in
endless technology battle in Europe and the United States and other places in the world with
market potential. The two companies have varying strategies through which they win the loyalty
of their customers. For the two companies, Apple has made some milestone before Samsung.
Apple has a potential competitive because it develops both the hardware and the software for all
its iPhone smartphones and other consumer electronics. On the other hand, Samsung only
develops hardware and outsource software from other companies such as android.
