Introduction
One fascinating thing about traveling is that it leaves you speechless and then turns you
into a storyteller" My main aim of giving this speech is to explain to you about being a travel nurse.
I have wanted to be a travel nurse for a long time, and I have interned for a healthcare organization
as a travel nurse before. Knowing about being a travel nurse will inform you about what is expected
of a travel nurse.
Body
Let me first tell you what qualifications an individual must meet before they become a
travel nurse. One has to complete and pass their BSN degree, which requires four years. Also, the
National Council Licensure Exam for RNs (NCLEX-RN) is needed to get licensed (Faller et al.,
2017). One has to be licensed as a nurse in their state, and the license can be applied in other states
as well. The roles of a travel nurse are almost similar to those of an RN. The travel nurse helps in
administering care to the patients and is also involved in preparing the treatment plans for the
patients. The travel nurse will be required to collaborate with other professionals in the facility in
preparing comprehensive treatment plans. Travel nurses help fill in when there are no adequate
nurses in a facility (Morrison, 2018). I would love to be a travel nurse because it earns you lots of
money because of the additional allowances and benefits. Also, since I travel a lot, I will acquire
other skills from interacting with people from different places.
Conclusion
In this speech, I have shown you how to become a travel nurse, including the qualifications
and expectations of nurses. As seen, travel nurses are beneficial in the healthcare environment. I
can’t wait to become a travel nurse and help people while touring the world.
