from a divorced family, his mother passed away when he was 12 years old, and his father was an
abusive alcoholic. Timmons was raised primarily by his older sister Margaret who in thought to
have sexually assaulted him and his other siblings while they were growing up. Margaret, like
their father was verbally abusive and an alcoholic like their father and she was unstable.
Margaret had tried to commit suicide on multiple occasions and was known to have unhealthy
relationships and unstable jobs. Timmons was good at sports and played football for the high
school team, he never graduated from high school because he was working trying to provide for
his family because they were poor. The family only got money from government assistance
programs. Timmons has been known to be aggressive with opposing teams while playing
football. During his senior year, Timmons and his brother were arrested for raping a woman, but
no charges ever came about it. He was charged with trespassing and driving under the influence
years later. In his later 20s, he was charged with brutality raping and bludgeoning a woman. He
denied the accusations and was later sentenced to 15 years for the rape and 21 for the
bludgeoning. He later was released after serving 13 years for good behavior and was out on
parole and living in a house that is four miles away from the crimes occur with his wife Jenny
Nelson. While living in the area he worked as a construction worker and was well liked by his
neighbors. Frank Timmons had been through a lot in his life from his upbringing of losing his
mother at a young age, being verbally abused by his father, and sexually assaulted by his older
sister. All of that has left him angry which triggered him to commit the violent crimes he did
starting with his first victim as a senior in high school, to getting more violent as time went on.
A case that is similar to Frank Timmons is Ted Bundy. Timmons and Bundy both
committed similar crimes to each other, they both committed crimes against women that include
the rape and murder of the victims. Both Timmons and Bundy had committed similar crimes to

each other, but their background are different. Timmons grew up knowing who his parents are,
while on the other hand Bundy grew up thinking his grandparents adopted him and that his real
mother was his sister. Frank had grown up with his father, who was verbally abusive and an
alcoholic and a very unhealthy family life, while Bundy never knew his biological father, it has
been speculated his grandfather was his possible biological father. Bundy did grow up in a
relative stable environment and did get a decent stepfather later on in life. Both men have a dark
side to them, Frank was known to be aggressive according to his football team mates and Bundy
had a collection of knives and was not a sociable with his peers. Both men reportable had a very
charming personality which helped them lure their victims to them and make people believe they
were good men. They both had killed multiple women, but their methods were different,
Timmons shot the women he took after he raped them, while Bundy liked to beat the women to
death after he raped them. Timmons according to reports, doesn’t have a motive as to why he
committed the crimes besides a possible link to his childhood. Both men are products of their
environment of having a difficult childhood which triggered them to be serial murders. The first
crime Timmons committed after being released was he abducted 3 girls
