Do’s of debate:
Always wear formal clothes
Learn about the topic well in advance
Analyze the given topic logically
Prepare for both FOR and AGAINST, of the topic
Be loud and clear in your views
Make valid points with examples
Applaud each participant.
Be polite formal and professional in your language
Before leaving the stage, give “Thank You” to all the people present in the ceremony.
The Don’ts of debate:
Don’t get deviated from the topic
Don’t get too personal or emotional
Never carry the piece of paper or any other form of notes
Do not forget about mannerism on the stage.
Don’t lose your patience
Do not interrupt other speakers while they are speaking.
Don’t be sarcastic ,exaggerate or generalize the topic
Do not shout or talk loudly.
Do not use ‘um’ or ‘em; within the speech.
Do not use false facts within your speech.
