Japan is an island in the Pacific Ocean. This happens to be the edge of the Asian monsoon belt,
which brings much rain to the country. Japan has five main islands from the north to the south,
which are Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Okinawa. It, however, has other smaller
islands known as the remote islands. The country is mostly rugged and mountainous, with about
70% hilly land, which is comparable to Norway. The highest mountain is mount Fiji.
The country has four distinct seasons. The climate ranges from subarctic in the north to
subtropical in the south. The northern side of Japan has warm summers and frigid winters with
heavy snow on the Sea of Japan side and in mountainous areas. Throughout the year, there is
moderate humidity and average rainfall over the country.
The Japanese education system is recognized as one of the best around the world. Education is
compulsory for everyone below the age of fifteen, which is mainly the elementary and the lower
secondary levels. School is divided in five cycles which include; Nursery school which is from 3
to 6 years old, Elementary school (from 6 to 12), Middle School (from 12 to 15), High school
(from 15 to 18) University or Vocational school (with a duration of 2 to 4 years). Japanese
society instills strong educational values, which brings forth a beautiful and intelligent
community. English is a mandatory language in Japanese schools. Moreover, their education
systems stress on club activities, which has been one of the reasons why it produces the best
science students in the world.
The traditional style of dressing of the japan is the kimono. The conventional methods of fashion
reflect the japans visuals culture and the conventional values which join them together. Japan
also have adopted the western style of dressing. Japan also has several symbols that show what is
unique about their nation. Some of the symbols include the national flag, which is white with a
red dot, Chrysanthemum Sealis, which is a symbol used for the coat of arms. It’s a symbol of
