Beatitudes Essay/Q&A
Question 1: Choose 2 Beatitudes and explain why you can relate to them.
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
I chose this beatitudes for some reasons that it means so dear to me for I can somehow relate to it
because it gives me a clear understanding that the ones who are humble are going to be the "heirs of
the earth," or in other words, leaders who may not be those who take office in the government but
leaders who will lead people to God's glory.
"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."
I chose this beatitudes because for me it means that being merciful of others shortcomings towards you
or if you can easily forgive others who do you wrong and not to hold a grudge, then you will be forgiven
as well by our Father God in heaven for our sins and shortcomings.
Question 2: Choose a narrative about “The poor and the outcast and briefly explain its’ message in a
paragraph.
Luke 6:20-21
Looking at his disciples, he said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed
are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh."
The narrative shown above simply tells us that God really has a His heart for the poor who lives His
teachings with all their heart and soul despite their lack of things and money. Our Almighty God in
heaven also assures us that if only we are truly obedient to His commandments and seek Him every day
to praise and ask for forgiveness we will then be fully blessed and inherit His kingdom despite any
terrible situation that surrounds us in this world like hunger, sorrow or poverty.
