1. A detailed plan of work 1. Materials & Chemicals:• 100% Cotton fabric • Sodium Sulphide • Sodium Hydroxide • Sodium Chloride • Hydrogen Peroxide • Acetic Acid • Alkaline Catalase enzyme • Sulphur Dye ( Black, Blue, Brown, Red, Yellow, Khaki.) • Beaker • Glassrod • PH meter • Thermometer 2. Methodology Reduction of sulphur dye before its application onto cotton is very essential. Reduction is carried out using reducing agent (Conventionally sodium sulphide). Reducing agent replacement work was undertaken for reasons mentioned earlier Basic principle here remains same, Comparison of two reducing agent viz sodium sulphide and Alkaline Catalase enzyme is done. Dye taken is pasted with little quantity of water. After pasting, alkali is added to the paste with continuous stirring. Then add reducing agent as per required installments with proper stirring. Time is given for complete reduction of the dye which is around 10 minutes. First liquor is taken in the pot and immerses the RFD fabric in it. Then dye the fabric according to the dye class. After treatment:- After completion of dyeing remove the fabric sample then rinse it and give chemical oxidation to it. Give cold wash, hot wash and cold wash followed by drying. Conventional Dyeing:1.Dissolution of sulphur dye • . Take dye quantity as per required shade • Take 1.5 times sodium sulphide of dye and 1.5 times sodium carbonate of dye liquor which will be used for dyeing. 2. Preparation of dye so ...
