Introduction
Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling are all responsibilities under management's
purview. Shinde (2018) argue that managers use these concepts to help their organizations
achieve their goals by utilizing physical, financial, human, and informational resources.
Organizational management can be broken down into five broad functions: planning, organizing,
staffing, and leading/controlling. It is important to know and practice these five functions to
succeed as a manager.
Functions of management
This helps managers focus their attention on tasks that yield a positive outcome. Planning
is an essential part of effective leadership. It is a visual representation of the management
planning process. Defining the company's long-term goals and determining the resources needed
to attain them is the focus of the planning process used by managers. Managers might develop a
wide range of strategies (Shinde 2018). Planning in a managerial capacity is what you should see
as a process of selecting appropriate objectives and activities to seek and then establishing which
approaches to employ, what actions should be taken, and which resources should be decided
upon.
Organizing is another management task (Vergés et al., 2019). Through the development
of interpersonal ties amongst employees, an organization's objectives can be achieved more
effectively. Business is the managerial function that comes after planning; it entails delegating
responsibilities, creating departments to house duties, and allocating resources across the firm to
meet its overall strategic objectives.

Organizational management relies heavily on controlling one's resources. The
administration is responsible for assessing how well you're meeting your objectives, increasing
your performance, and taking action (Vergés et al., 2019). Learn to evaluate, appraise, and make
conclusions using strategies for setting standards.
Conclusion
Keep in mind that as a manager, integrating yourself with your company's goals and
objectives will help you accomplish greater job satisfaction and professional success. You should
always treat others with respect and do your best to adhere to the principles and ethics of your
organization and your own. It's important to remember that people are watching and observing
your actions. Don't be afraid to go above and above for your colleagues, customers, and
organizations. Get your company's performance results by being an excellent manager, and you'll
also build trust and good relationships with your personnel.
