Hi
Hope you are well. I have enjoyed reading the different reviews of the articles you researched on
from different libraries on Postpartum depression. Postpartum depression in mother whom are
diagnosed it effects are manageable compared to those mothers who are yet to be diagnosed. The
mothers in the postpartum depression within the child’s first year of life may use different
pharmacotherapies which is helpful in treatment (Frieder,2019). Postpartum depression exposure
in children have significance impact on their development outcomes (Madlal,2018). The
understanding of the background information on the postpartum depression for instance etiology,
pathophysiology, incidence, and risk factors, is important for diagnosing the mothers and
children with significant exposure. Children exposure on postpartum depression the effects may
be evident in the two phase that is pre and postpartum depression in their behaviors and
development of their psychological from birth to period of their pre- school age (Takács,2020).

Hi Carolyn,
I love the approach of your research of looking from multiple sources to have the assessments of
the of different articles to address your topic with concise information. In the research ability to
modify keywords to search for results in multiple libraries is important to narrowing down to
your topic for the evident to tackle your PICOT question with right answer (Melnyk & Fineout-
Overholt, 2019). Clinical information in some of the libraries may require your subscription for
your searches but there are resourceful with information which is update. There are search
engine such as DynaMed and Cochrane with feature which require narrowing down for topic
question. CINAHL library database has best information on nursing which makes it credible
source with more detailed analysis (Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2019). Clinicians use databases
which have their own specific database language to eliminate and minimize searching errors to
provide evidence to answer the PICOT question.
