a.2. For Animal Science and Ag Econ majors, interview a dress chicken/pork retailer in your
community. For Crop Science majors, interview a vegetable dealer (focus only in single crop). For
Plant Protection, interview a root crop dealer (make sure to practice proper safety and health
protocol for COVID 19). and answer the table below. Inquire about their business daily

DISCUSSION:
1. What are the methods of collecting the data that have been used in this activity?
differentiate the methods of collecting data by taking note of their salient points.
Answer;
The methods of collecting data that have been used in this activity are interviews and
secondary data collections…. Interview is a method that gain an in-depth understanding of
perceptions or opinions on a topic. It is done, verbally ask participants open ended questions in
individual interviews (such as what I did in this activity like I interviewed 10 individuals in my
family/relatives and dress chicken). While, secondary data analyze from populations that you cant
access first-hand. It is done through finding existing datasets that have been collected, from
sources such as government agencies or research organizations (like the 5 year survey
population that I got from our brgy)
2. What characteristics of data you have observed in this activity? Why you need to attend
to the characteristics of a good data?
Answer;
In this activity, I observed data characteristics such as accessibility, consistency and
reliability, precision, and relevance. Because one of the most important things to remember is that
not all data can be considered of high quality, hence making them limited in their usefulness. To
fully realize the benefits of data, it must be of high quality. The characteristics of data quality
ensure that you get the most out of your information. When your information does not meet these
criteria, it is no longer valuable. Precisely offers data quality solutions to improve your data's
accuracy, completeness, reliability, relevance, and timeliness.
CONCLUSION: Based on the findings and discussion, what can you draw about data (pls refer
to the objective).
Answer;
Based on the findings and discussions, I conclude that in data collection, we can use a
variety of methods to access and obtain the data that we require based on our objectives/purpose.
Data must contain accurate information in order to be of high quality and useful. False data is far
worse than incomplete or non-existent data. Furthermore, various methods of data collection are
used to ensure that information-rich and reliable data is collected for statistical analysis, allowing
data-driven decisions to be made for research.
