Introduction
The Institute Medicine report was issued in 2010, through the evaluation of the nursing
employees. IOM report recommendations focus on the crucial intersection of different health
needs, patient population, and duties of the nursing employees. The IOM report recommends
various measures and improvements to make to the health industry in the United States through
the help of nurses. The paper focuses on the influence of the IOM report on nursing roles.
