Mass communication media refers to communication devices that used to communicate
or interact with large number of audience through mass communication. This media is an
effective medium for communication, information dissemination, marketing, advertising, and for
expressing and sharing opinions, views, and ideas. This media are inseparable from our lives as
they play a crucial role in human interaction across the globe. There are various types of mass
communication media today. Types of mass communication media are as follows and

Print media
Print media involves mass communication through the use printed materials. This
includes; a newspaper that carries all kinds of information related to variety of topics like current
affairs, politics, entertainment, stocks, finance, and socialism. It also includes lighter topics like
movies reviews, advertisements, books reviews, puzzles, and crosswords. Magazines are other
types of popular print media. Magazines are periodical publications that targets specific audience
who are searching for information that is based on a particular topic or subject like health,
business, consumers, gadgets, luxury, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, and entertainment. Their
frequency can be weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Booklets and brochures are print media
that are part of promotional literature of an organization or a product. They are either distributed
for free to promote or a product or inform of latest product in the market (Paxson, 2010).
Magazines, newsletters, and periodicals are publications that are used by organizations to
keep their stakeholders updated about the activities of the organization. Handbills and flyers are
print media are either handed out to passer-by or stuck on public sites. They are commonly used
