In correctional centers, classification is vital since it helps in maintaining a secure
environment for staff, visitors, and other inmates. Grouping is done based on the riskiness of the
inmates. This classification originated from the transition from traditional jail to open jail, which
is usually open. It necessitates the classification of inmates by considering their risk level.
Linear jail refers to a prison where there is no continuous surveillance. The design is in a
way that the rooms arranged to appear in long rows along a corridor. It's a housing unit that
accommodates many prisoners instead of single cells.
Podular remote get controlled to detain those already charged guilty, waiting for a deposition or
charged with a short sentence. The cells are not shared.

However, the staff should be careful when deciding to send someone to the open jail.
Those assigned to open prison must get assessed on their risk level. Low-risk inmates to
the public are the ones supposed to get transferred to open jail. The risky ones should remain in
