Explaining purpose of the interview

Interview Format used by Preceptor
The preceptor format encompasses several stages. The first phase is the introductory
stage which takes a few minutes and is intended in establishing rapport between the preceptor
and the client (Holstein & Gubrium, 2016). The client shares their full names and the first
impression of the client based on their appearance and demeanor is made. The preceptor
prefers having a small friendly talk and escorting the client to the interview room. The second
phase involves getting to know the interviewer by giving more information about themselves
(Englander, 2016). The third phase involves asking a wide range of questions associated. The
interviewer is provided with sufficient time to respond to any of the asked questions with
minimal disruptions. The fourth stage involves asking the interviewee to ask any questions.
The last phase involves concluding the interview. This stage involves thanking the
interviewer for engaging in the process and offering a handshake. In some cases, it may be
important to follow up specific aspects that were not clear during the interview process.
