Managers in the field of marketing appear to be “obsessed with growth” (Mullins,
Walker, Boyd, 2008, p. 426). The organizations objectives are to increase in profits over
the years. Market segmentation to where space and place presence is needs to consider
demographics, Psychographic and Geographic’s
Demographic Segmentation in Space or Digital Presence
In a Space presence or digital presence a company must know how to Market
Segmentation. In the market Segmentation the company must make sure that the
demographics focus on attributes that include age, sex, income, race, religion, occupation
and education (Mullins, Walker 2010). In the Space or digital presence a company would
want to make sure all of there customers were computer users. A drug company trying to
do mail order prescriptions to where all of their customers were seventy years old and
above probably would not have much luck in the digital market. A store such as Wal-Mart
with varied attributes to their customers would be fine in the digital world.
Psychographics in a Space or Digital Presence
The psychographics in a digital presence or Space presence would need to be
considered as well for the space presence. The psychographics looks at behavioral
patterns and then they form the market around them Mullins, Walker, 2010). The same
would apply as the steps were used in the demographics. In the psychographics you
