Describe your proposed solution.Respond to both posts below:Discussion 1:As the system administrator for my company, the cost will always be a factor, this is why I would choose to implement iSCSI (Internet Small Computer System Interface). iSCSI allows the sending of SCSI commands over both Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN). The various devices that fall under iSCSI are CD’s, tapes, disks and remote storage devices that you can connect to via the network. But prior to that, I would create a dedicated lane for traffic would allow this to be the smoothest possible route, which is why I would implement a dedicated LAN for the traffic. On the large server, I would load the iSCSI Target Server role. I would then configure the iSCSI Target Server using the Server Manager. After the server had been configured, I would create multiple virtual disks. I would define which servers can use the newly created virtual disk. I would then configure the iSCSI initiator to connect to the various volumes. CHAP would need to be enabled as a login option which will require a username and password. Lastly, I would need to connect each virtual disk to each server, which can be accomplished using Computer Management to organize each of the disks.Rangi, P. (2016, July 22). The benefit is that Hyper-V Server 2016 is free for everyone to use since it does not follow the standard Microsoft licensing terms (March 27, 2017, & Pst, n.d.). On the downside, it does not guarantee the use of free Windows Server or client OS, only the hypervisor is included. But this will give you all the tools needed to add and manipulate the virtual machines. Hyper-V is a software that is already capable of running multiple virtual machines at one time. It is a virtualization platform. I could set up and configure a Hyper-V host on my current Windows Server 2016. Which I currently have the resources for the Hyper-V environment. I will need a few additional things to properly create multiple Hyper-V hosts. The required list is as follows: Hyper-V Server 2016, Network Access(only required if connecting within the network or to the internet), 4 GB of RAM or more, 64 Bit CPU or more, and a VM monitoring mode extension. Optional items include: Virtualization support-enabled BIOS or UEFI and Data Execution Prevent support enabled BIOS and UEFI.
