William Shakespeare Hamlet English Version Play Analysis & Review Discussion
Let's all experience Hamlet before we discuss it! The Los Angeles Public Library has several versions available on videotapes and DVDs that you can borrow for 48 hours as long as you reside in the LAPL service area. And of course, many of you have streaming subscriptions, so you should find it very easy to find a version of Hamletonline. It should therefore be possible for everyone to view one adaptation by December 3, and to report on the experience. After you have seen one version of the play, please post to let us know which version you watched, in which language (Hamlet is available in many, many languages besides English!), and how you liked it. Tell us how seeing a performance of the play changed your understanding of Hamlet. Tell us whether seeing the play helped you understand the language better, as Shakespeare's English can be quite challenging.
