the document titled “IL-Related Mission Statements” that can be found on the CD
which accompanies your course textbook. You have been directed by your school
site to develop a mission statement that will guide your school media center
well into the 21st century. In a two- to three-page paper (plus title and
reference pages), develop an Information Literacy Mission Statement that
addresses the following components:
- Discuss the role of your media center facilities in terms of the student population and overall school community.
- Describe the role of the IL librarian.
- Explain the desired outcomes for students and other patrons of your media center in terms of the development of their information literacy skills.
Support your position with references to the article, your text, and at least
one additional scholarly source, using proper APA format.
