Explanation & Answer

The equation will have the form

y = mx + b,

where m  is the slope of the line.

We are given that m = 1  Therefore, the equation will look like this:

y  =  1*x + b.

We must now determine b.

To do that, we must use the information that (-3, 2) are the coördinates of a point on the line.  Those coördinates then    solve  the equation.

2 =  1· (-3) + b

This implies

b  =  5

Hence,The equation of the line is

y  =  1*x +5

i.e y=x+5
