What are the two critical differences between most teams and "teams at the top"? To what degree do you think employees in general understand/appreciate these differences?

Teams have shared leadership roles and teams at the top have Strong, clearly focused leader. Another difference is team measures performance directly by assessing collective work-products and teams at the top is measures its effectiveness indirectly by its influence on others ( For example, financial performance of the business).
