I don't understand parallel resistor and series capacitor math...why is it harmonic Addition?

Explanation & Answer
In parallel resistor
because
I =I1+I2
Because of Ohm's law
V/R= V/R1+V/R2
1/R =1/R1+1/R2
Series capacitor
1/C =V/Q= V1/Q+V2/Q= 1/C1+1/C2
Hence 1/C=1/C1+1/C2
Thus in these cases it is not arithmetic addition but harmonic addition (Vide harmonic mean)

University of Pretoria Technology and Investment Question
Whether the world moves to greener energies, or “dirtier” unconventional ones is a key question that will help determine the planet’s fate. The development of Canadian oil sands continues, yet so does the deployment of solar and wind energy in Germany and elsewhere. On balance, which way is the world likely to go? Based on your considered review of this module’s readings as well as your reflection upon all of the modules, particularly those on energy trends and transitions around the world, evaluate the questions below:Scientist James Hansen says further development of Canadian tar sands dooms the planet. In what ways does this claim have scientific validity, and what do you make of it personally?In your estimation, could this fate be avoided if scientists, engineers and societies across the world alter their energy and transportation systems to lessen greenhouse gas emissions?undefinedapa your sources should not be more than 5 yrs old

3-1 Discussion: Examples of Cloud-Based Architecture refined
Throughout the last two modules, you have learned about cloud-based architectures, cloud computing, and cloud service models. Whether you have thought about it or not, you have likely used a cloud-based architecture in your personal, academic, or professional life. For instance, if you have a Google account, you’re using a cloud-based architecture for your email communications or for shared documents. You may even upload your photos on Google Drive or Apple’s iCloud, which are cloud-based environments. As a student at Southern New Hampshire University, you have used cloud-based virtual environments within your courses, for example Brightspace and Codio.For this week’s discussion post, reflect on the cloud environments that you already engage with, whether in your personal or professional life.In your post:Identify one to three cloud-based architectures and their brand names that you already engage with on a frequent basisDescribe how you know that they use cloud computingExplain how these cloud technologies are helpful in your personal or professional lifeProvide at least one citation to support your rationaleYou are encouraged to respond to your peers this week, but you are not required to. Even though your responses are not graded this week, you should take the opportunity to see what cloud technologies your peers use. You may learn about a new cloud-based architecture that could help you in your professional or personal life. As new technology emerges every day, you never know when you are going to learn something new.To complete this assignment, review the Module Three Discussion Rubric document.
