Both Erik Erikson and Daniel Levinson developed theories on the human development
during midlife, by explaining the various stages undergone during the human development. Both
id these theories, as illustrated by Schwartz (2001), are developed on the aspect of the adult
development. They both discuss how the people change from one stage of their life to the other.
However, there is a significant difference of the two theories on when the life stages described
occurs, what confronts their occurrence, and their importance the concerned individuals at their
life. In relation to this, the present paper presents a comprehensive comparison and contrast of
