### Question Description

First, write the value (s) that make the denominator (s) zero.

Then solve the equation.

3) 7/x = 1/2x + 52

School: Purdue University   7/x =1/2 x+52

Multiplying by 2x both sides

14 =x^2 +104x

x^2+104x-14=0

x^2+2*52*x+52^2 = 52^2+14 =2704+14 =2718

(x+52)^2 = 2718

x+52 = plus or minus sqroot(2718)

x =-52 +plus or minus sqroot(2718)

If the problem is 7x =1/2x =52

then 61/2 x =52

13x =104

x= 104/13 =8

I presume the problem is 7x = x/2+52

I have solved for both versions
