Psychology - Identity

timer Asked: Nov 9th, 2013

Question description

When young adults move out of their parents' home to live on their own, but do not know what they want to do in life yet, many will start with a job that will allow them to make ends meet. If the person is ambitious, he/she might use that first job as a stepping-stone to a later career.

How does a young adult's identity shift when moving out on his/her own and taking a job without knowing whether or not that job is what he/she wants to do in life?
