As you reflect on the history and philosophical roots on how children learn, review the theoretical perspectives and the NAEYC review of the literature. Use this information and begin to define your own philosophy and approach to family and community engagement. Try to think in terms of building inclusive relationships and respectful engagement with families and their diverse contexts.  Provide your theoretical perspective fully and then post some bullet points of what you might include in a philosophy statement.
