consider the corrosion of element iron in anaerobic water ( Fe^0 oxidized to Fe^2 ) with the reduction of proton (H ) to form hydrogen gas H2: Fe^0 2H = Fe^2 H2(g) a- from thermodynamic considerations, calculate the equilibrium constant K at 25C. b- For T = 25C, pH=10, and (Fe^2 )=10^-3 M, at what partial pressure of H2 dose this reaction become unfavorable?
