Structure (Due Week 8)
Discuss the Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 window structure.
Determine which view you will use to develop a presentation.
Which view will you use to overview and print your speaker
notes? Which view will you use to ensure your slides are in the
correct order? Name the major parts of the Normal view.
Graded Discussion LP6.2: Style and Font Modifications (Due Week
9)
Discuss readability of your slides within this class discussion.
What styles and fonts are interesting to you? Which design
themes are the most visible? Which might be very hard to
read? Explain how to determine the font size that you will use
for the text on your slides.
Respond to a minimum of two classmates' posts before Sunday 11:59
PM MT for both questions.
Graded LP6 Assignment: Create a Presentation (Due Week 9)

Use Microsoft PowerPoint, or another presentation
application such as OpenOffice.
Create a slideshow in PowerPoint that describes a topic
that interests you.
Use bulleted lists in the presentation. To incorporate
bullets, or a bullet list, you must click on the Bullets icon within the
Paragraphs dialogue box (top center of the Ribbon).
Use a design Theme provided in PowerPoint. To select a
Theme click on the Design tab (or download a presentation
template from the Internet).
Insert Transitions into the presentation. To apply
Transitions, click on the Animations tab in PowerPoint. Then click
on the slide you want to add the Transition to, and select the
Transition you want to use.
Use WordArt somewhere in the presentation. WordArt is
inserted by clicking on Insert within PowerPoint and then click on
WordArt.
Insert a screenshot as the last slide of the PowerPoint
presentation showing your printing selection.
The presentation should be at least 8 slides.

Class when you attempt to send your image by email you may receive an error message
indicating your image is too large. You can click on the image and drag the edges to
make it smaller. Or you can click on the image, then locate the new format tab that will
appear within the Microsoft Ribbon (if you are using Word) and then make the selection to
decrease the size of the image. Scroll down to Change the Resolution of an Image on
this webpage for further instructions: Reduce the File Size of a Picture
