Explanation & Answer

1. The Bible was not in  written until at least a hundred years after the death of Jesus.

2. There were other religious prophets at the time of Jesus - notably John the Baptist, who is still worshiped by some sects, so Jesus was not the focus of attention.

3. The authors of the Bible are many and in most cases unknown.

3. Jesus himself spoke in parables and sometimes it was difficult even for his disciples to ubderstand his meaning. This led to many different interpretations of his words.

The presence of these divisions is problematic since contradictions arise making it difficult for those Christians who believe that the Bible is the word of God.
